Ownership of Copyright

Authors who publish in PestBytes Journal retain copyright of their work. By submitting and publishing a manuscript in the Journal, authors grant PestBytes Journal a non-exclusive license to publish, distribute, archive, reproduce, and make the work publicly available in electronic formats.

The copyright remains with the author(s), and authors are free to reuse, distribute, and share their work in accordance with the terms of the Journal's licensing policy.

Publishing Rights

Upon acceptance for publication, authors grant PestBytes Journal the right to:

  • Publish and distribute the article in electronic formats.

  • Archive and preserve the article through digital repositories and indexing services.

  • Include the article in current and future journal issues, collections, databases, and archives.

  • Promote and disseminate the published work through academic, professional, and digital channels.

Author Responsibilities

Authors are responsible for ensuring that:

  • The submitted work is original.

  • The work does not infringe upon the copyright or intellectual property rights of any third party.

  • Appropriate permissions have been obtained for copyrighted materials, figures, images, tables, datasets, or other content owned by others.

  • All authors have agreed to the submission and publication of the manuscript.

Authors shall indemnify PestBytes Journal against any claims arising from copyright infringement, plagiarism, unauthorized use of copyrighted materials, or other intellectual property violations.

Third-Party Material

Any third-party material included in a manuscript must be appropriately acknowledged and used with the necessary permissions where required by law. Authors are solely responsible for obtaining such permissions before submission.

Repository and Self-Archiving Policy

Authors may:

  • Deposit the published version of their article in institutional repositories.

  • Share the published article on personal websites and professional networking platforms.

  • Distribute copies for educational and research purposes.

  • Use the article in future books, theses, dissertations, presentations, and teaching materials.

Authors are encouraged to provide appropriate citation and a link to the published version of record on the Journal website.

Licensing

Unless otherwise stated, articles published in PestBytes Journal are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, adaptation, and reproduction in any medium, provided appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and source.

Corrections and Retractions

PestBytes Journal reserves the right to issue corrections, expressions of concern, retractions, or removals where necessary to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record and comply with applicable legal and ethical obligations.

Copyright Infringement Claims

Any concerns regarding copyright infringement or unauthorized use of copyrighted materials should be reported to the Editorial Office. The Journal will investigate all complaints and take appropriate action in accordance with its Publication Ethics and Retraction Policies.
